Two companies have been fined thousands of pounds following the death of a Grimsby man at work.
52 year old Martin McMenemy was working for local firm O. Turner Insulation Limited at a site in Leicester back in 2008.
He was using a scissor lift and unknowingly drove it into an unprotected pit the vehicle overturned and Mr McMenemy died of head injuries.
O. Turner Insulation Ltd and Clegg Food Projects Ltd of Nottingham were both found guilty of breaching health and safety regulations.
They were each fined £22,500 and ordered to pay over £12,000 in costs.
