Calls for regeneration of Gainsborough site

People in Gainsborough are calling for the regeneration of a town centre site that has sat unused for 4 years.

There have been suggestions the former Guildhall site could used for multi-screen cinema complex and hotel and rumours of a multi-million pound investment.

But West Lindsey District Council says it would need to get permission from the Government to demolish the grade II listed building before any plans could progress.
