Charlotte Aitchison is better-known as Charli XCX. Her claim to fame is appearing on Icona Pop’s 2013 hit ‘I Love It’ and she’s currently Number 1 in America as a guest vocalist on Iggy Azalea’s ‘Fancy’. 21 year-old Charli was born in Stevenage and went to school in Bishops Stortford. She’s been writing songs since she the age of 14 but has struggled to have any solo hits despite releasing 2 albums ‘14’ and ‘True Romance’. ‘Boom Clap’ is taken from the soundtrack to the movie ‘The Fault In Our Stars’, a romantic comedy based on a book of the same name and released in UK cinema’s on 19th June. ‘Boom Clap’ has already reached the Top 30 in America and Top 20 in Australia and New Zealand. The track was originally offered to Hilary Duff, but as she didn’t record it, Charli decided to take it for herself.
