Emeli Sande - Next To Me 24 year-old Emeli was born in Alford, Aberdeenshire. Believing education was the most important thing she was a medical student at Glasgow University where she gained a degree before taking up music full time. Emeli began writing and performing songs from the age of 11. Before her debut solo single she’d had 2 top 10 hits writing and providing guest vocals on the Chipmunk hit ‘Diamond Rings’ and then with Wiley on his hit ‘Never Be Your Woman’. Emeli’s solo single ‘Heaven’ reached Number 2 and ‘Read All About It’ her duet with Professor Green reached Number 1. This is the 4th single from her Number 1 album ‘Our Version Of Events’. Emeli has recently collected the Critics Choice Brit Award and recently got engaged. Her 9-date UK tour begins on 4th April.
