19 year-old Demi was born in New Mexico. She’s starred in the Camp Rock movies as well as the Disney sitcom ‘Sonny With A Chance’ and the 2009 movie ‘Princess Protection Programme’. In America her first 2 albums have been big hits with her second CD ‘Here We Go Again’ peaking at Number 1 on the Billboard chart in 2009. ‘Skyscraper’ is taken from Demi’s 3rd album ‘Unbroken’. This single was co-written by Toby Gad, famous for composing ‘Big Girls Don’t Cry’ for Fergie and ‘If I Were A Boy’ for Beyonce. Despite her age, Demi has undergone treatment for a nervous breakdown and recorded the vocals for this song shortly after completing her recovery. It has gone on to sell over 500,000 copies in America where it reached the Top 10 while reaching the Top 20 in Canada and New Zealand.
